Classes
Here at Cross Works Physiotherapy, we value moving your body with group encouragement and support. Learn and exercise in a small group of people who are all working towards a common goal.
The GLA:D Program
- GLA:D Canada is an 8-week education and exercise program for those with stiff and/or painful knees and/or hips, or those with knee and/or hip osteoarthritis.
- Research from GLA:D in Denmark shows participants report less pain, reduced use of painkillers, fewer individuals on sick leave, and being more physically active.
- 2 education sessions and 12 Neuromuscular Exercise Sessions.
- Classes are held Mondays and Wednesdays at 2:30pm or 5:00pm.
Active With Arthritis
- Take your exercise program to the next level with our advanced arthritis exercise program. Whether you are trying to avoid seeing a surgeon or you want to impress them, this class is for you!
- Classes are held Monday and Wednesday from 9:30am-10:30am.
Postpartum Fitness
- A 6-week exercise program to help new moms get back to the activity and function that means the most to them.
- Classes are held Monday and Friday from 11:30am-12:30pm.
- Babies are welcome!
Prenatal Fitness
- A 6-week exercise and education program to help people stay active and feel empowered during their pregnancy.
- Classes are held Tuesdays and Fridays from 4:00pm-5:00pm.
Gentle Fit Physio
- For those who are looking to move but are unsure where to start.
- Exercise in a small group with people who understand the various challenges to get moving. See the improvements together and encourage one another.
- Classes are held Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:15pm-3:15pm.
Runner’s Injury Prevention and Speed Work
- A class for runners to gain valuable knowledge about injury prevention strategies, proper running form, and recovery techniques.
- This class focuses on exercises that target strength, flexibility, and balance specific to running.
- This class is seasonal. Please call the clinic to see when the next session will be available.
Golf:Fit
- A 4-week exercise program to work on rotational strength, speed, balance, and core.
- Physiotherapy assessment by a certified Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) Physiotherapist.
